Oh Yeah... Lydia turns 8!!!

In the always mad chaos of our house with starting school and dance and getting back into the swing of schedules... I forgot to post Lydia's 8th Birthday. I can't believe my baby girl is 8. She looks so happy... haha...  in this birthday party photo. She was happy but not sure where this face is coming from.
Lydia loves Monster High so her whole party was Monster High.
We had a family party and then a friend party too. These are some of Lydia's besties from school.
I had the hardest time finding someone to make a Monster High cake. I finally called my little friend Lacie. Lacie is young... 22... young and had no idea what Monster High even was. She googled it on the internet and this is the cake she made. She is so amazing. I was so grateful she saved the whole party. Now she is making cakes for everyone in my family.
At Lydia's party we did glitter art. I remember when I was growing up my mom wouldn't let us write on ourselves. She would say "Our bodies are our temples and they shouldn't be marked up". The last time I heard that was when I was 18, I went out and got a tattoo on my back. I heard that for the last time when she found it about a week later. I started saying this in my head the whole time at Lydia's party worried about what mom was going to be upset that I have marked up their little girls temple. No one was upset though. One girl called her mom just to make sure it was okay. I did this mermaid on Evelyn. Super cute!
Happy Birthday to my sweet Little Lydie!
