This Really Happens Here!

On Thanksgiving Eve I picked the kids up from school and on the way home we saw this deer across the street from our house. Jake just had to run over to it. I didn't stop him... I just thought she would get spooked and run away. But she went right up to him and let him pet her head.
Later I showed all my family members and they couldn't believe it. They all started saying that she could have really hurt him. I am glad that she was nice but I don't think we will be running up to pet anymore deer. Thanks family for the advice! I have this one really cool photo though.

So last weekend was my mom's annual Halloween Treasure Hunt. It was AMAZING! My mom always does this up real good but this year was out of control. She started weeks early... delivering invitations... then a week later shirts for all the adults... then a week later shirts for all the kids. Half of us live at least 30 minutes away.
 Corbin, Kingston, Zeke and Braxston
 Aaron and Britaney
 Emmy, Evelyn Lydia and Ayana
 Chris, Heather and Ayana
 Kelly, Zach and Simon
 Connor
 Jake, Brett and I
 Dad, Uncle Gene and Mom
Mikayla, Koner, Audrey, Dyson and Josh
The whole freaking family... minus Riley (Josh's oldest) who has moved out of state. Sure miss her tons. We are at In and Out Burger eating dinner. People would stare everywhere we went. First we are a huge clan... then we all had matching shirts.
Josh and Audrey... see that glass niche that is right below their chins. Yep... that is their forever resting place. I am going to put this photo in with their remains when they are gone. So cute!!!
Nick, Paul and Lu... oh and baby in belly... sshhhh... don't tell. Not sure I am suppose to say anything!
Our stops on this treasure hunt included Nana's house, Larkin Mortuary, The South town mall, In and out Burger, Popeyes and then a haunted boat ride on the Provo River.
Waiting for our turn on the boat. Yep all 30 of us took the whole boat.
Paul is not excited about the life jacket. He just kept saying "I can't Mommy... I can't"!!!! So funny!
Thanks mom for such an amazing night. No one does it like my mom. She is the best!

Everyone's Back In School!

I love and hate this time of year. I love Halloween, fall, leaves changing colors, the smell of pumpkin everything... but I hate my kids going back to school. The battle of kids not wanting to go, not wanting to do home work, other kids not being nice, getting up early. Oh well!
Evelyn is in 5th grade this year and starting to really develop a social life... in turn is freaking me out!
Lydia is in 4th grade and still has not developed a love for school. I think her stomach hurts every morning in hopes of staying home.
It's official the school year has started. This week we have had 4 people in our house who have had a stomach virus and have become best friends with our designated "puke bowl".  So fun!

Summer Is Coming To An End!

Summer is coming to an end fast. We have done lots of fun things. Most... I didn't take pictures of. Here are a few things we got some snap shots of.
Our new puppy Pebbles. Chihuahua... is so cute. She loves everyone in the family and is way scared of strangers and fire pits. We love her.
This picture is just how Jake has been all summer... super wild.
Jake started Preschool this year. I was only going to do 2 days but remember the part of him being so wild... we decided to go with 3 and it has been so good for him. He loves his teacher and the school.
Jake loves dinosaurs and I just knew this was the school for him when we walked in and there was this dinosaur bone puzzle... and tons of dinosaurs to play with.
Waiting to go into his class the first day... he's watching the other class that starts just before he does.
It's so nice to have him so excited about school. He has only been 2 weeks and he has come home singing songs and talking so much about what he did at school that day.
We have done the Black Ridge Reservoir a lot this year. They have made some big changes and it's so fun... and free! When it comes to entertaining kids all summer some things have to be free. The kids love it.
And my Lydia turned 9! She wanted a friend party... I don't like friend parties... so much pressure to make it nice. We give the kids the choice of going out alone with mom and dad for some one on one time or a party. They always pick party. When I was growing up I never picked party... we always picked alone time. Maybe thats the difference between six kids and 3 kids.
Happy Birthday Lydia... we love you so much and can't believe you have blessed our lives with 9 years already.
My boy... tonight... running a fever and not feeling so hot. Pebbles giving some much needed cuddles. Sorry buddy!!!! So my girls start school on Thursday... I will be in tears... Hate not having them home. Goodbye Summer... see you next year!

Park City... Summer Fun!

Brett's parents came up from St. George for the girls dance recital. We stayed in Park City for a night. We love Park City. Those who have been up to Park City know the white barn that sits by itself. We decided to stop this time and walk around. It was pretty cool and I can't believe all the times I have passed this barn and never stopped. The history was pretty interesting.
I love seeing this huge flag hanging in front of this stark white barn.
At the Marriott resort they always do these fun activities for the kids and try to keep them entertained. We love cotton candy and what we love more then cotton candy is FRESH cotton candy. These look big but it didn't take long for my kids to have them gone.
 I love these little kids.
Lydia is turning into a little sassy girl.
I never have my camera anymore. The 4th of July we did the Murray parade and then played at my mom's all day... had a BBQ... did fireworks... watched the Murray Park fireworks. It was a busy but really fun day. I love summer!

My girls decided to dance this last year after taking a few years off. I was so excited when they both said they wanted to start dancing again. I love watching them dance. Last weekend was recital which I always have anxiety over but it all seems to go smoothly. I am so proud of how hard my girls have worked this last year and I am so proud of how much they have improved.
Sisters back stage waiting for the other dancers. I am backstage every year and love the organized chaos.

We had lots of family there to watch the girls. It was nice. Seeing as how tickets at Kingsbury Hall are not cheap.
G-ma and G-pa B all the way from St. George. They took Jake all day while we did dress rehearsal. It was a huge help and Jake loved going to the Zoo with Gma and Gpa.
Nana... has seen many a shows here at Kingsbury.
The whole clan that came to support my girls. Thanks so much for everyone who made it. I know the girls loved having all of you there.

St. George Spring 2013

We did our Annual Spring trip to St. George. It's always so much fun and Grandma & Grandpa take such good care of us when we are visiting. We got to spend 4 days together. The kids sure miss Brett's side of the family but when we do see them we sure load those days full of fun. Lots of swimming, hiking, eating and talking.
 Brett, Travis, Glen and Linda.
Grandparents and the kids. This is one of our favorite places to hike.
 The kids throwing peace signs.

The kids are getting so big. We have so many pictures of them together and time goes by so fast. Evie and Maddie are best of friends and Lydia and Cambria get closer every visit. They held hands the whole time. So cute!
Another great trip to see family. We love St. George and love to visit Brett's family as much as we can. Thanks Grandma and Grandpa for everything!

Tuesday, April 9, 2013

It's April and that means it's a lot of celebrating. Brett and had our 15 year Anniversary on the 1st. Yes... 15 years. I can't believe it's been that long... it really doesn't feel like it. I can't imagine my life without Brett in it. For our anniversary Brett called my hair lady and asked her to move some things around so that I could get my hair done before our date night. I haven't had my hair done in over a year.  I was so excited and thought it was such a thoughtful gift.
On to the next celebration... Mom's Birthday. I love my mom so much. She is such a great lady. She works so hard to provide for her family. She is always thinking of others first. She would do anything for anyone. My role model. Happy Birthday Mom!
Next... Brett's birthday. I love this man. His birthday is the same day as my Nanny's and even though she isn't here anymore I think of her a lot that day. I still miss her tons and can't wait until I see her again. Happy Birthday to my awesome hubster and my sweet Nanny.
Audrey and I have started making French Macarons for Starks Funeral Parlor. Most of my days consist of kids, cleaning, and macaron making. Audrey and I have started to sale cookies a little here and there.
Happy April!!!
