Lydia Goes to Kindie-Garten!!!

My little girl started Kindergarten this week. Lydia is such a mommy's girl, that I was real nervous for her first day of kindergarten. (Yes I use my kitchen chair as a hanger).

I don't know why she is giving a scared look here... she did really well.

She was so excited to meet new friends and have them come over to play like her big sister does. On the first day mom's got to stay for the first 30 minutes to do a few little activities. When we were all done Lydia said to me "Mom you can go now"! I am so proud of her. I think she looks way to little to be going to school. :(

Evie's First Day of 1st Grade

Is it true... my baby is in 1st grade? Where has all the time gone?

Park City Birthday Party!

We spent a night in Park City for Lydia's birthday... and the Mustang show! It was alot of fun and a great little get-a-way. The whole family was there, even Lulu and Trynity.

We went to the High School to launch rockets (sorry Zach that didn't work out like you planned). I had silly string and then my mom got everyone to join in a race. Aaron won!!!

All the girls hanging in the hottub.

Happy Birthday LYDIA!

Happy Birthday Lydia! I can't believe you are 5 today and headed off to kindergarten in a week. You are such a sweet girl and I love you so much!
Here is something Lydia said last week that cracked me up!

Lydia: Mom, I know what it is when you get baptized.
Me: Oh yeah?!?
Lydia: Yeah, I saw it on the Suite Life of Zach and Cody
(I knew she had no idea at this point).
It's when you sit in a chair and someone puts you to sleep and then your a dancer!
Me: (laughing) No honey... that hypnotize...
(then I went on explaining baptizm and all about the holy ghost).
The next day Lydia starts talking to my Mom about our conversation.
Lydia: Nana, I know what happens when you get baptized.
Nana: Oh yeah.. what?!?
Lydia: You go under water and then you get the Hostly Ghost
(and she did the whole ghost howl and the wiggling fingers).

Reservoir Fun

I took the kids to the reservoir just up the street from our house. They LOVED it and didn't want to leave... of course. It's actually pretty fun, the only thing is the sand is not like a beach... it's a little rocky but the kids had tons of fun.
